About The Artist

Péheveešeeva, Good Day.

My name is Ešéév'a'e, Day Woman.

I am an enrolled member of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe located in Montana and I descend from the Tall Bull family. My late grandfather was Chief William Tall Bull of the Dog Soldier Society.

Practicing my Native American culture and keeping tradition alive are very important to me. My ancestors gifted me with the ability to create and provide for myself and my family through beadwork. My late grandmother was a very gifted beadwork artist, however, I was too young to learn from her before she made her journey to the other camp. Therefore, I am considered a self-taught artist. One summer, when I was 18 years old I found an old sewing kit in our families closet that had a few strands of mismatched beads, needles, and cotton thread. I sat down and started laying down beads on a piece of scrap fabric. Through trial and error, many mistakes made and lessons learned, I am still beading daily, 11 years later. I am very honored that my beadwork has allowed me the opportunity to share my passion, creations, and culture with you.

I weave tradition and prayer into each of my beadwork pieces.

When you procure a piece of my art you are buying more than an object; you are buying a small piece of who I am, where I come from, and most importantly,

my Native American bloodline.

Ha'Ho.
